Abstract
This research is to study the quality control problems and countermeasures in theThai automotive parts industry. The research consisted of Phase one and Phase two.Phase one was a survey to study the problems in quality control. Random samplingwas used to select 341 employees from automative parts foctories in Mueng District,Samutprakarn Province. The research tool used for collecting data was a questionnaine.Percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression were employed for dataanalysis. Phase two was a qualitative research using 2 human resources developmentexperts, 2 production experts, and 2 quality control experts. The research tool usedin this Phase was in-depth interviews. Results of the study can be summarized asfollows: there was a significant difference at the .05 level between the effect of gender,age, and experience on the quality control problem. The countermeasures are developmentof quality control technology and training in the use of equipment/tool to developcompetency in the application of quality control.
