Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study the state of rubber value chain management, and the setting for managerial development of the rubber value chain for increasing the value of exports in the lower northeast. The research procedure consisted of quality and quantitative research by using an in–depth interview, questionnaires and focus groups for gathering data. The major findings are that activities that support related industries concerning factor conditions and those of demand conditions are used most. The factors that affect the rubber value chain management are collective learning, teamwork and covisions. There are four components for managerial development: factor conditions, support activities-demand conditions, related and supporting industries, and context for firm strategy, structure and competition. There are five components for the development setting: contents, objectives, developing process, developing procedure and evaluation.
