The concepts of the Social Structure Theory and the Community Theories have beenadopted and jointly applied to reach a better understanding of the lifestyles of peoplein a community. The Social Structure Theory offers a framework explaining theeconomic, social and political relationships within a community. Similarly, conceptsadopted from the various community theories can lead to a more insightfulexplanation of behavior within a community. Furthermore, these theories provideinsights into possible future events and how the community will evolve. When jointlyused, these two sets of concepts can offer a new approach to the study ofcommunity, which can result in a more comprehensive and complete description anda better understanding of the lifestyle of a community. Data for this article wascollected through dialogues and individual interviews, as well as personal observations.
