Government and private sector organisations in Thailand introduced the concept of knowledge management in 1990, but the management of organization knowledge is not as successful as it should be. As a matter of fact, successful knowledge management in organizations should start at the leadership level with the organisation leadership seriously committed to knowledge management. The leadership must be ready to accept the changes and integrate the concept to knowledge management practices. Furthermore, leadership can create a corporate culture that is conducive to knowledge management system. In order to be motivated by the goal of knowledge management, information technology will be used as an important tool for knowledge gathering, transmission and measurement. KM is required for monitoring progress and the operating results, which is important for effective improvement. It will ultimately lead to organizational learning and sustainable growth.
