- PublicationIntelligence Types in Management and Leadership Perspectives(University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, 2012)
; ; Intelligence concepts have received attention in the management and leadership field more than centuries. This research aims to create a conceptual framework of intelligence types grounded in the management literature and conduct a pilot study to examine this framework with the management level in a Thai company. The intelligence types including Mental Intelligence (IQ), Emotional Intelligence (EQ), and Cultural Intelligence (CQ) are elaborated and discussed, then their relationships with an important work outcome, work performance are tested. Surprisingly, the findings reveal that only IQ has statistically significant relationship with work performance (r= .49, p= .01). The small sample (N=33) of this pilot study might affect the association among the variables. However, in other words, the results confirm the strong influence of IQ on work performance, even with the small sample. This suggests a need for additional study in larger and across sample sizes.12 100
